Dr. Henry grew up in central Michigan and attended Michigan State College of Veterinary Medicine. In 1996 he started his own practice in Neenah, Wisconsin, the Great Lakes Veterinary Clinic, which included all aspects of equine practice. Dr. Henry's interests were dentistry, lameness and reproduction. The practice was sold in 2003, at which point it had grown to 8 doctors.

After selling the practice, Dr. Henry started a specialty practice focusing on equine dentistry both providing the service to clients and educating other veterinarians. Dr. Henry provides all aspects of equine dentistry. from routine dentals, fillings and endodontics, to oral surgery.

He and his wife, Amy, have two sons, Joshua and Noah.
